The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) states that eating too much animal protein (meat, eggs, milk and cheeses) can lead to an earlier death! A study of 6,381 adults age 50 and older concluded that those that ate the most animal protein had a 5 times higher risk of early death. Those younger than 65 that ate the most animal protein had a 74% increase in death from any cause and a 4 times increase in death from cancer. Meat is our new tobacco!
The typical American eats milk in coffee or has a glass of milk with eggs and bacon and butter on toast for breakfast (all animal protein). Has a meat and cheese sandwich for lunch and meat for dinner and then ice cream. We are eating way more animal protein than our early ancestors did. Our bodies are NOT built for this type of diet. Be aware!

And we hear more about this all the time. Of course, eating these things in moderation with huge emphasis on vegetables and fruits is good too. Everyone is not meant to be a vegetarian.

Yes in the “China Study” the magic number was 10%. Over 10% animal protein significantly raised probability of disease. You are correct If you are a meat ester eating more vegetables is important.
