Belief and Epigenetics

We all need to believe in God, family, friends, our country, etc. It is our nature to want to believe. If you are not religious then belief in God is out. If your family is estranged then belief in family is gone. If you don’t trust anyone then belief in friends, country, etc. is gone. Reconnecting to people and God brings back a basic need in all humans. We can move mountains if we believe. Are these just words or is there any truth in them? What do you believe in? How much do you believe in it?

This is a great posting, thank you. I agree totally. I genuinely believe there is huge anxiety in the world today, fuelled by the media and driven by money. Belief ultimately must come from personal experience and from a basis of true hope, that there is a good future ahead for us and for our children; a future worth committing to, working and sacrificing for. When that goes, which I believe it has for so many, belief is both impossible and seems almost irrelevent. This has nothing to do with God in my view, because we see every day what is being done in the name of God. Its about a world that allows love and the inner spirit to grow, so that the things that really matter are available, not lost.
