Healing illnesses and preventing new ones is as old as humans! There have been many different methods used. The Therapy Book says Our current practice of health care is based upon what is called allopathic medicine. The premise of allopathic medicine is the use of “opposites” to heal the body.” We don’t really address the cause of the disease but try to prevent the symptoms. Take for example a common fever. Our bodies cause a fever to kill invading viruses. It is the bodies main defense. The root problem is the virus. By taking aspirin we lower our temperature (the symptom) and allow the virus to survive. Obviously if our fever is high enough we need to take actions to lower it.
The ancient Egyptians recognized the importance of a healthy diet unlike their modern counterparts. This BLOG has been about just that! How do we eat really healthy and avoid disease. If we are sick what role does diet play in healing it? Modern biology has the study of epigenetics which turns our genes ON or OFF. One combination can give us cancer while another can make us totally healthy. Diet plays a major role in triggering epigenetic reactions. Does your diet make you sick or healthy?

I have myeloma and just discovered also amyloidoisis, early stages, not too much damage to kidneys.
I am on week 8 of treatment and have developed swollen legs/ankles which are hot, in places. Is this the fever that kills invading viruses as the treatment removes the amyloid from my organs and tissues, do you think?
from your point of view, the doctors will give me their versioin on Friday.
Thanks

I think you must do what modern medicine has to offer but in addition change your diet to one of organic vegan. This will help build your immune system.

Love everything you have to say here! I’m 100% on board. This is exactly what I am committed to and passionate about in my life. I’m currently a pre-med student, and my goal is to become a holistic physician who educates people about the epigenetic factors that are affecting their health. I’ve done a lot of research on my own about these topics as sadly these concepts are not taught in any medical schools that I know of. My blog is committed to sharing this same information with the world and to hopefully start a healthful revolution focused on human vitality! People need to realize that they aren’t victims of “disease”. The lifestyle choices we make, the way we think, and even our perspectives on life play a HUGE role in our overall health. I applaud you for sharing this information! Thank you! You’re a true Holotarian in my book! 😉

I agree! I strongly believe if we don’t take our health responsibility back and become healthier, our health system will fail!
