Dr Greger says since we humans are not really carnivores we have evolved from plant-eating apes and have learned to produce all the cholesterol we need. We also can produce inflammation as needed (cut). Cats are carnivores and do not produce inflammation or cholesterol on their own but get it from their food, namely meat. If we eat animal products we get excessive cholesterol and the stuff that produces inflammation. Chicken and eggs are NOT safe. They produce inflammation and cholesterol in us. Inflammation can lead to cancer and cholesterol can lead to heart disease. The only way to completely avoid these excessive intakes is a strict vegan diet. Watch this important video.
Eat Health (no saturated fats, white bleached flour or sugars) This BLOG would also recommend minimizing oe illuminating animal protein. They also recommend eating lots of colorful fruits and vegetables.
The beef industry bought and paid for an ad that claims beef can be GOOD for you. It actually lowers your cholesterol. Dr Greger says what they really did was take a group of people have them eat beef but cut back on poultry so much that their overall cholesterol did go down. This was not because of eating beef but not eating so much poultry. Eating all meat (beef or poultry) will increase cholesterol levels. Faking out a study to make your product look good is wrong. Don’t be fooled America. They are scamming you for your dollars!
If you cut saturated fat (cheese, meat, Crisco, lard any animal products). The chair of nutrition at Harvard pointed this out and stated the cholesterol levels would have dropped even more if the beef was also eliminated and more plant-based protein was consumed.
There have been articles online about how Bacon might be good for you. Really! If you believe that I have a few eBay items to sell you. Come on, there might be a substance that has a positive affect on a ring worms life. It might even be true when they do the tests on a mouse and finally humans but there are many more bad things like cholesterol and saturated fat. If someone did a study and found arsenic has life extending substance would you take it? No of course not because it also has other substances that will kill you!
You must be very careful when you view articles and ads these days. They are geared to sell you something and to change any negative attitude you might have on that item. Look at the drug industry and how it is legal to be a billionaire on many people suffering. Yes some drugs we need but the drugs being sold today do more harm than good. Be a smart reader … look closely and ask a very simple question: “Who benefits from this ad or article?”
Many people I know have said to me, “I love bacon and I couldn’t live without it!”. The truth is you can’t live with it!
Fox reported on a study that fed steak to one group of people and had vegans in another group. They found that the steak contained a substance known as carnitine. Bacteria eat this and burp a chemical known as TMAO which can cause heart attacks. This study was unique in that it shows it is not just the cholesterol that is dangerous. I would love to see the same study with white meats. White meats still have a lot of cholesterol and about 85% of the saturated fat of red meats. I have reported on many studies finding different things in animal protein that can cause serious and deadly diseases in humans. The bottom line is if you really want to avoid illness become vegan. If you can’t do that, decrease your animal protein intake and increase your plant protein intake.

… so says Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Forbes Magazine. “Would we all be better off if we dramatically reduced meat to the point of one meal a week? I would say yes,” says Dr. Bob Lawrence, director of the Center for a Livable Future at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. “But the reality is that, from a public health perspective, if we just get some modest reductions in our intake of saturated fats, it’ll have a big impact.” If you just can’t stand never tasting meat again, at least reduce your intake drastically. It is clear to most scientist and doctors that the increased saturated fats most Americans are eating, is the root cause of cancers and many other diseases. We have a choice! Don’t get sick and ask “Why me?”
