Yesterday I spoke of juicing. There is another BLOGger that talks about their favorite green juice recipe. Juicing will help you lose weight, feel more alert and alive. It is healthy because of all the different nutrients you are consuming. Do it fresh just before you drink it to preserve the most nutrients. Buy your fruit and vegetables organic. A good juicer produces no mess in the kitchen and is easy to clean up. If you have your own organic garden, dump the left over pulp in the garden.

Weather you decide to be vegan or eat meat, you really must eat a variety of vegetables to maintain health. The plant kingdom evolved along with us. It provides the antioxidants needed to fight oxidation and the nutrients we need to stay healthy and fight diseases. Early man & woman didn’t think much about it. They were nomadic and walked a lot (exercise). They ate berries, nuts, plants they found along the way. They ate some meat if they found it already dead. We weren’t much of hunters and probably were hunted more than we hunted. We evolved with plant protein nourishing our bodies. Modern man & woman is moving away from vegetables and eating more meat and junk and sugar! This change has had a devastating effect on our heath. Vegetables can be delicious. Try a large variety of them. Cook them al dente. Try some new ones you never had. Look for recipes that make them in different ways. Eating more vegetables can have only one effect on you … you get healthier!

Or vegetable for that matter. I love all kinds of fruit and vegetables. Fruit is sweet and juicy and raises our blood sugar slowly not quickly like cakes and candy or cereals. It is the perfect way to start a day off. I try to eat a variety of fruits. Different colors and different tastes are a great experience. Vegetables I like “al dente”, slightly crispy. Vegetables also taste good raw or slightly cooked. Don’t overcook them! That will take out all the nutrients and make them feel soft and soggy in our mouths. Buy organic and enjoy good food. It will keep you strong and healthy.
