This is a great article on 5 fats that don’t make you fat from “Food Matters”:

  3. avocados
  4. Seeds
  5. Olive Oil

Notice that these good foods are all plant-protein based foods. We need to rethink how we viewed foods in the past. Our bodies need fats especially our brains. Some fats are very bad for you and others are good. Which type are you eating?

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) says a diet of low fat plant based foods can reduce weight problems as well as symptoms of menopause. Changing your diet to a more healthy one, will improve your health and lifestyle.

Yahoo ran an article titled “Diet Busting Foods you Should Avoid”. They said in this article: “A 2,000-calorie-a-day diet should have no more than 66 grams of fat, less than 20 grams saturated; 2,400 milligrams of sodium; and 300 grams of total carbohydrate, including sugars.” They describe in this article bad foods such as:
a) A 20 oz smoothie that has 1044 calories, 35g fat and 120g of sugar
b) 20 oz Grande that has 510 calories, 19g fat and 16g of sugar
c) Milkshake that has 2010 calories, 131g fat (68g saturated) and 153g sugar
d) A pretzel dog that has 610 calories, 29g fat (13g saturated) and 1,150mg sodium
e) Cinnamon Pecan Bun that has 1092 calories, 56g fat and 47g sugar
f) Chicken Wings that have 550 calories, 18g fat, 27g sugar and 2,520mg sodium
There are plenty more examples in this article. Read it and wonder. It is no wonder America is getting fatter!
