Dr Greger says a diet of plant based foods will improve your dental health. Remember animal based diets lead to inflammation which can cause dental problems. Oral cancer is less likely with a plant based diet (as are almost all cancers). Eating the way we were designed (not the way we want to eat) allows our bodies to grow healthy, fight disease and live longer. We evolved as primarily plant based eaters with occasional animal foods. Americans today are primarily animal based food eaters and diets high in fats. It is no wonder chronic illness has progressed to such alarming levels. How do you eat? Better yet how do you feed your loved ones?

Dr Greger says a vegetable diet also improves our oral health. Some fruits can cause enamel if used in excess problems but not as much as soda! Vegetarians don’t typical eat just fruits but a wide variety of vegetables as well. If you brush your teeth twice a day, eating fruits is far more important to health. Sodas and candy and sweets are far more damaging to your teeth and your health!

He states, “ A new study in the Journal of the American Dental Association finds once again that, contrary to what most people have been told, fluoride is actually bad for teeth”. Once again we are sold for years on a drug being good for us and helping us when in reality it has the opposite effect.
