Update on Milk and Casein

A reader commented on my BLOG yesterday (see comments) that soy and almond milks can contain casein. It is always best to read the labels and know the names of the things to watch out for. The label won’t say milk but it does say casein. If you have any other products that people think are vegan but are not, please let me know.

Milk could be “death in a bottle” and we mostly think of it as healthy and good for our kids. So many cancers are linked to it. Switch today and help save your family’s health!

Vegans and vegetarians hear this all the time! It is so ridiculous how the media has us conditioned. First we must have protein. This is true but in small amounts. Large quantities are toxic. Second we can only get protein from animal products (meat, cheese, milk and eggs) WRONG WRONG WRONG! Every organic food (plant or animal) is made of cells which are made of protein. If you believe either or both of these, readjust your thinking. Get educated.

The Harvard School of Public Health says drinking 3 cups a day may be more the influence of the dairy industry than scientific evidence. Drinking low-fat milk may actually cause more fat build up than the whole milk does. This is because fats tend to be absorbed slowly by our bodies making us feel full longer. Low fat is digested quickly and we feel hungry sooner. If you are a regular reader of this BLOG you know that there is evidence of health risks with any animal protein based foods but milk is a very high risk. It has been linked to cancer and heart disease. Remember we are the only animal that drinks milk after a very young age and the only animal that drinks the milk of another animal.

The physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) says dairy products can lead to prostate cancer. A new study done by The Journal of Nutrition says those consuming more than 2.5 servings a day increase their risk of prostate cancer by 12%. Dairy is a form of animal protein. We have spoken about how animal protein can cause all sorts of diseases. Plant protein is safe and protects us from many diseases. Remember The China Study by Dr T. Colin Campbell? His book said eating more than 10% of your daily calories as animal protein leads to cancer! Think of what many Americans eat that are animal protein: eggs, butter, bacon, sausage, ham, lunch meat, cheese, dinner meats, cheesy sauces, desserts with butter, milk and cheese. The typical American consumes way more than 10% of their daily calories in animal protein. What are you eating today?

Milk causes so many problems and diseases it is baffling that we still drink it. Vegan Mainstream says many Americans have an intolerance to it. Why are our bodies rejecting it? As mammals we were never designed to continue drinking milk throughout our lives. We are designed to drink mother’s milk NOT COWS MILK! We are also designed to drink it only until we can eat solid foods. Milk is linked to heart disease and cancer. Think hard about drinking that glass of milk and harder about giving it to your children. The life you save may be your own or your children’s.

A study reported by PSA Rising, says that eating meat and milk products seems to cause a favorable rise in tumor growth. This can lead to cancer. If you are a big meat and milk and cheese eater, try reducing your intake drastically. Supplement your immune system by eating more fruits and vegetables. Give yourself a fighting chance.

Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) has a website which discusses the problems of consuming dairy products.
a. Osteoporosis – Tests show cow’s milk actually may cause it rather than prevent it
b. Cardiovascular Disease – all dairy products contain significant amounts of cholesterol and fat
c. Cancer – Several types of cancer have been linked to consumption of dairy. These include ovarian, breast and prostate cancers
d. Diabetes – Type 1 is linked to consumption of dairy products
e. Lactose Intolerance – Is becoming more common and is caused by consumption of dairy
f. Vitamin D Toxicity – Consumption of cow’s milk may not provide a significant source of vitamin D in your diet
g. Contaminants – Synthetic hormones in Cow’s milk is passed into our bodies and may cause inflammation
h. Health Concerns of Infants and Children – Dairy may pose health risks to children that lead to chronic illnesses, diabetes and heart disease

If you consume dairy, you should read the articles on this website and educate yourself on the dangers of dairy in out diets.

Cows do NOT drink cow’s milk (after a very young age). We do NOT need to drink milk to get our calcium either.
