If you haven’t read “The China Study” by T. Colin Campbell, please do so. This book was an eye opener for me. Dr. Campbell showed that he could turn cancer ON when animal protein consumption was more than 10% of your diet and turn it back off when it was less. A vegan diet can prevent cancers as well as other chronic illnesses. If you already have an illness, it can improve the situation and might even cure the disease. Dr Campbell has a great website that has many doctors talking about the benefits of a plant-based diet. Read what they have to say. It is your choice! The China Study and Dr. Campbell’s research is one of the topics covered in my book.

  3. Professor T. Colin Campbell PhD. author of The China Study has another interesting video. The Celebrated Cornell University professor T. Colin Campbell PhD, presents the overwhelming evidence showing that animal protein is one of the most potent carcinogens people are exposed to. Dr. Campbell wrote the China Study.

When smoking was such a problem, we educated people on the bad effects of smoking. After massive education, people stopped smoking and health improved. unfortunately the young are back to smoking. We need the same type of massive education about diet and it’s impact on our health. For me it started with:

The physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) says dairy products can lead to prostate cancer. A new study done by The Journal of Nutrition says those consuming more than 2.5 servings a day increase their risk of prostate cancer by 12%. Dairy is a form of animal protein. We have spoken about how animal protein can cause all sorts of diseases. Plant protein is safe and protects us from many diseases. Remember The China Study by Dr T. Colin Campbell? His book said eating more than 10% of your daily calories as animal protein leads to cancer! Think of what many Americans eat that are animal protein: eggs, butter, bacon, sausage, ham, lunch meat, cheese, dinner meats, cheesy sauces, desserts with butter, milk and cheese. The typical American consumes way more than 10% of their daily calories in animal protein. What are you eating today?

A new movement is taking off to help reduce the amount of meat and animal fats in our diets. Dr. Bob Lawrence, director of the Center for a Livable Future at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health says he is not pushing America to become vegetarians but cutting back on meat and animal products will help reduce heart disease and certain cancers. Dr Lawrence admits in public at a party he will eat some meat if served but at home he eats fish and pasta with non cream based sauces. This article shows how America’s meat consumption is on the rise as is heart disease and cancer. The China Study by T. Colin Campbell sets the amount of animal protein at 10%. Above that heart disease and cancer sets in.

Bill Clinton lost 24 pounds from switching to a vegan diet but he did it for different reasons. After heart surgery, he realized he was still storing cholesterol in his veins blocking them. He did not want to have another heart operation so he did extensive research on what causes cholesterol and how to avoid it. He realized that 82% of people on a vegan diet begin to heal themselves. He references Dean Ornish’s book as well as The China Study.
