The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) says that a diet high in fat can increase risk of Breast Cancer. Women concerned about breast cancer need to look at this article. Reduce your fat to good fats and stop intake of all saturated fats. This was study of 337,327 women by the National Cancer Institute. Cancer is a concern among all of us. Women in particular are concerned about breast cancer. The more we research cancers of all types, we see that they are highly related to our diet. Americans have the worst diet in the world and we have some of the highest cancer rates as well. You can change your diet to a healthier one. Once you do, you will find you enjoy healthier foods more than you ever thought. We have only one body, take care of it and fuel it correctly!
I found out from a dear friend that whom fought breast cancer. The first doctor and hospital had her go through chemo for months. Later she switched doctors and found out she should never have had the chemo. It was totally ineffective on her type of cancer. When she questioned the original doctor, he said “That’s water under the dam. Everyone gets the same treatment”. Our hospitals are more interested in the money your treatment can generate than your feelings and health. Research research research! You have to take care of your own health and treatments. You are the only one looking out for your well-being. Question everything, get second and third opinions, research treatments and doctors.
Dr Greger says a new study finds all alcohol intake is carcinogenic. It seems something in our saliva turns alcohol into a carcinogenic. Less than a drink a day can increase the risk of breast cancer. One study finds a sip held in the mouth and spit out increases the risk. Watch products you use that have alcohol in them. Alcohol, in small quantities does lower the risk of heart disease. So do we take some and reap the benefits to our heart or the risks to breasts? A healthy plant-based diet almost eliminates the risks and greatly improves the benefits. Watch what you eat.
Dr. Greger says eating a teaspoon of flax-seed a day can lower breast cancer risks. Antibiotics will lower your body’s ability to use the plant based fiber. So if you are eating correctly but are on a lot of antibiotics, you may not be getting the full benefits! sesame seeds may work as well as the flaxseed. I wouldn’t try to eat this way as a formula for each disease known. Rather eat a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.

Dr. Greger’s new video talks about the relationship between breast cancer and dietary fiber intake. This may be why vegans have a much less chance of breast cancer. It may not be the fiber directly but what else is in plant-based foods like vitamins and antioxidants. If you are worried about breast cancer or your daughter’s chance of getting it, watch this video and change your life-style. Vegans have much less chance almost none and vegetarians more but much less chance than meat eater.
This BLOG states that doctors feel living 5 years with cancer is a success, The American Cancer Society states that doing nothing will let you survive 7 to 10 years. No one talks about cures! Normally you only survive a time. During that time you pay a lot for treatments and medicines. At the end of the referenced BLOG is a list of research points from John Hopkins University. READ IT!
Chicago school bans homemade lunches, the latest in national food fight. We have seen in epigenetics that foods we have held as nutritious are really not. In fact some of them can cause illness and death. Milk is one! It is linked to breast cancer and other illnesses. We think of it as being a source of calcium but find in scientific studies that it is not. Most of the calcium is expelled through our urine. Broccoli is a much better and nutritious source of calcium. Do we want a school board dictating what our kids should and should not eat? These types of laws are unconstitutional! They take away our basic rights as Americans. Uneducated people making decisions in areas they know nothing about may cause millions of children to get sick or even die. This should be condemned. Nutrigenomics will show what is really nutritious in the future. It will be natural foods like fruits and vegetables not manmade concoctions (even though it is from a cow, it is processed by man) like milk that bring billions of dollars to an industry. Ask yourself one question: “Do you really think that the dairy board has our children’s best interest at heart?” NO! They only seek a new generation of milk addicts to sell their products to.
Cancers can be caused by two related phenomena: A) Genes that cause cancer called oncogenes and B) genes that prevent cancer called tumor suppressor genes. Obviously if we have our oncogenes turned off and our tumor suppressor genes turned on we are in great shape (at least as cancer goes). If on the other hand we have our oncogenes on and our tumor suppressors off, we might be in real bad shape. Genes tell our bodies what to do and rebuild new cells so that we can continue to live a normal life. Our bodies have a system outside of our genes that was designed to keep our bodies running well. This system looks to turn off failing genes and activate genes needed to fight diseases. This management system is called epigenetics. We obviously need food, water, and nutrients to live. These things come from our food source. If we constantly eat bad foods we will knock the management system off-key just like putting bad fuel in our cars will eventually destroy the engine.
