Watching your weight? Worried about what you are eating? Want to protect your family from diseases? This is a season when we Americans tend to eat too much and the wrong things. The holidays don’t have to be about overeating or eating bad stuff. It’s family and friends that are important. Enjoy your cooking but try new recipes to find more vegetables that your family enjoy. Stay away from frying foods. Most people think you have to fry fish to enjoy it. It’s not true! Broiled fish is so much tastier than fried fish. Crispy vegetables are so much more enjoyable than soft limp ones. Remember fruit for dessert!

Make this season the one you start cooking healthier and less. We can all use being healthier. Wouldn’t be nice if we had more hospitals than we need?
