My good friend David sent me an article on fruits/vegetables in a rainbow of colors. The Jerusalem Post ran the article titled, “Healthy Eating:Taste the Rainbow”. It encourages us to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables in many different colors from reds to oranges to blues, etc. This article explains what each color does for us. It is well worth the read. It is real important to not get into a rut and eat one or two types of fruits/vegetables all the time. The colors have healthy improving properties that we all need. The tastes are your rewards. You might feel you need your sugars, salts and fried foods but if you stop eating that, after a short time your body will adjust as will your taste buds. Then you will enjoy the flavor of the plants. Eat well … live long!
