Nutrigenomics looks at foods and nutrients in foods and tries to link them back to epigenetic reactions. These reactions can cause health or illness in our bodies. We know that plant-based foods are healthy and hold keys to health. Why not focus on these foods and map the epigenetic triggers that result? We can compare these mappings to the epigenetics of healthy vs. sick people’s genes. I know there are a lot of genes and many more triggers on those genes but focusing on cancer cell genes or plague cells can help identify epigenetics that cause these illnesses. We don’t need more drugs! We need guidance on what to eat and what to avoid. For the most part we have it but having scientific reasoning behind why it works would be great.
