Cells stained for keratin and DNA: such parts ...

Image via Wikipedia

We know our bodies are made up of a community of cells. Each cell is living, capable of taking in nutrients, expelling waste, creating daughter cells and making decisions. Epigenetics is the programming behind this. What happens when one of our cities ignores its crime? Eventually it starts to decay. As the decay increases, the city begins to suffer more and more. Normal functionality ceases to exist. If left to this path, the city would kill itself. Our bodies are no different. Each cell is making decisions on what it senses in our environment. If we eat wrong, ingest toxins, think poorly or feel bad about ourselves; some of these cells start to fire epigenetics that will hurt the body. If left to this path, more and more cells will follow suit. Eventually the bad epigenetics will kill the body. We call this disease!
