epigenetic mechanisms

YES our decisions in life cam affect our children’s well-being. They can through the process of epigenetics. David Shenk, author, says that the decisions we make in life do change our epigenetics but not our DNA. When we have children, not only do we pass a copy of the parents DNA but their epigenetic coating as well. This causes these children to react in ways that would be different if we passed some other set of epigenetics. The video is David’s discussion of this process.
