When smoking was such a problem, we educated people on the bad effects of smoking. After massive education, people stopped smoking and health improved. unfortunately the young are back to smoking. We need the same type of massive education about diet and it’s impact on our health. For me it started with:
- The China Study by T. Colin Campbell – The ChinaStudy.com
- The Spectrum by Dean Ornish (Clinton’s White House dietician) – www.ornishspectrum.com
- The Biology of belief by Bruce Lipton – www.brucelipton.com
- Randy Jirtle, Duke University – www.randyjirtle.com/
- Food as Medicine by Dharma Singh Khalsa, MD – www.drdharma.com
- Dr Greger, MD – www.drgreger.org
The facts on diet and what we eat is out there and be studied. You may not want to hear about cutting back on animal products but it may save your life and your loved ones. One thing is for sure, if we keep going the way we have been eating a SAD (Standard American Diet) diet, we will end up with a chronic disease, in a hospital and a burden to our loved ones. STOP, READ the above sites, INVESTIGATE what’s out there, and CHANGE your lifestyle today!

A new movement is taking off to help reduce the amount of meat and animal fats in our diets. Dr. Bob Lawrence, director of the Center for a Livable Future at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health says he is not pushing America to become vegetarians but cutting back on meat and animal products will help reduce heart disease and certain cancers. Dr Lawrence admits in public at a party he will eat some meat if served but at home he eats fish and pasta with non cream based sauces. This article shows how America’s meat consumption is on the rise as is heart disease and cancer. The China Study by T. Colin Campbell sets the amount of animal protein at 10%. Above that heart disease and cancer sets in.

If your car had problems and you kept taking it to a mechanic who did nothing to solve the problem, would you continue going to him? If someone told you that if you did something, it will resolve your cars problem. Would you try it? Of course we would. Why then do we keep going to traditional doctors that only prescribe drugs that do nothing to really solve the problem? We get cancer go to specialists only to get our cancer back. What do we do? We go back to the same people who failed the first time. Why?
There is a lot of literature on the powers of a vegan diet to cure cancer, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, etc. Why wouldn’t we at least try it? Do we really believe eating vegetables are harmful to us? We seem to be smarter about helping our ailing automobiles than our own bodies. It is time to wake up! Change our lives by taking our healthcare into our own hands. Find a doctor that doesn’t believe that all the answers are in drugs. Research a vegan diet and honestly try it. If you don’t care about curing yourself, no one else will! If you believe your doctors prognosis of only 6 months to live, it will probably be true. On the other hand if you fight it and refuse to give into your disease and try alternative methods, you might just live. What do you have to lose?
